BID Expo

This experiential showcase is more than just your average career fair – it’s a comprehensive dive into the many diverse roads that lead to a fulfilling career in the high-rising construction industry. Whether you’re a general contractor, specialty contractor, industry service provider, university, or vocational school, vendors at BID Expo are encouraged to offer a hands-on opportunity for students to learn about the incredible paths to a career in the DFW building community. Examples of hands-on opportunities for students could include: using tools, trying on safety gear, or spinning the wheel of knowledge for prizes.

The event is held in conjunction with Construction Education Foundation’s (CEF) Craft Championships, which is a local-level competition for skilled tradesmen that qualifies them to compete at the national level at the ABC National Convention. Hosting both of these exciting events concurrently gives students an opportunity to see top-notch craft professionals working in real time, while also heightening the excitement for the competitors by giving them an even larger audience.
