BID Expo

WHEN: Thursday, October 12, 2023 | 9:00am – 2:00pm
WHERE: Dallas College Construction Sciences Building – Building B

WHO: 8th Grade & High School Students & Educators

This experiential showcase is more than just your average career fair – it’s a comprehensive dive into the many diverse roads that lead to a fulfilling career in the high-rising construction industry. Whether you’re a general contractor, specialty contractor, industry service provider, university, or vocational school, vendors at BID Expo are encouraged to offer a hands-on opportunity for students to learn about the incredible paths to a career in the DFW building community. Examples of hands-on opportunities for students could include: using tools, trying on safety gear, or spinning the wheel of knowledge for prizes.

TEXO Foundation | ASC Region 5 Student Competition

WHEN: Monday, February 19, 2024 (Tent.) | 8:00am – 9:00pm

WHO: University Construction Students & Professors

Each year, university students in construction programs travel to DFW to showcase their skills and connect with TEXO member companies about career opportunities. Students participate in 3 divisions: commercial, design-build, and heavy civil. Teams are challenged with quick turn-around bid proposals and in-person presentations. This event gives industry professionals valuable face time with ambitious students and future recruits.
